About: The Jindal School of Liberal Arts and Humanities (JSLH) is a constituent school of O.P.Jindal Global University, a Deemed-to-be-University. The University has been recognized as an Institution of Eminence by the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India. The University is located at Sonipat, Haryana about 50kms from New Delhi. The University has 9 schools - Jindal Global Law School, Jindal Global Business School, Jindal School of International Affairs, Jindal School of Govt. & Public Policy, Jindal School of Liberal Arts & Humanities, Jindal School of Journalism & Communication, Jindal School of Finance, Jindal School of Art & Architecture, Jindal School of Environment & Sustainability.
For the 3-year BA (Hons.) in Liberal Arts and Humanities, students train in the foundational aspects of the liberal arts and humanities through core courses, electives, and select courses across the different schools of the University. They do one-month internships every semester. In the final year of the BA they choose a major – one subject – as an area for concentrated study and they write a thesis. The thesis in the third year is a detailed work of substantial length and depth over a subject specialism.
Selection Process:
Admissions are done in 3 rounds - Application stage, Interview & Jindal Scholastic Aptitude Test (JSAT), Acceptance of provisional offer of admission.
Fee:
- Rs. 6,50,000/- per year
- Residential charges: Rs. 2,60,000/- per year
The residential charges are subject to an annual increase of up to 10%.
Scholarships:
The University awards Merit cum Means Scholarships (MCM) every year. The MCM Scholarship covers the tuition fee only. Scholarship applications will be opened by the University around July and awarded to eligible students in August.
